This video illustrates how true Scripture is when it says, ‘man always looks to the outward appearance, but God sees the heart’.   God sees us all as “super stars” special, unique reflections of Him, and as Christians we are called to see each other through that perspective too.  We are to value people for who they are, image bearers of God, rather than judging them against the world’s standards of greatness.

It is so interesting to see how people react to the homeless man (aka Christiano Ronaldo, undercover, a  famous foot ball star), and in contrast, the reaction towards him when they know who he truly is. A great identity illustration.

The people who interacted with him as a “homeless man” and those who didn’t will either be kicking themselves or pinching themselves when they realise this man’s true identity.

Regardless of your opinion or attitude towards this football star, this video illustrates how shallow we are as humans to judge people by their outward appearance, and not to value people because they are one of God’s unique creations.

Opportunities also can be missed out on because of our early judgements of people  How many of the older generations have such wisdom we can learn from, but we right them off… Even a child can bring so much joy if we take the time to say hi and to get down on their level.  Let’s not be like the world who judges people from the outward appearance, but take the time to know people’s heart. They will be blessed and so will you!
