Psalm 33 – Creation

Psalm 33 is a great reminder of God’s participation in Creation.  As we teach about creation, let us create a wonder – not only in what God has made, but most importantly – who our God is!  Below is a small commentary which reminds us of the application of Psalm 33 to our Christian teaching.

Psalm 33:3-9

3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy. (A true response to ah revelation of God.)

For the word of the Lord is right and true he is faithful in all he does.  (Let’s paint a right picture of who He is)

The Lord loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of his unfailing love. (Ask yourself how can you see God’s love in His creation?)

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. (Power of God’s Word to create and sustain)

He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.  (What a picture and thought to meditate upon)

Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the people of the world revere him. (True fruit of real Christian Education -in our lives and our hearers)

For He spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.  (Don’t mess with His Word – it is powerful!)
