An example of brilliance not recognised at school
This here is a reminder to me of how school doesn’t always get it right. I recently watched my brother recently compete in the Rally of New Zealand in Whangarei. There I also met this young man who started building his own rally car at 19. I saw him race that car there at 21! He didn’t do well at school, but he is obviously brilliant and a genius in his field. He had never publised until recently, that he was diagnosed as dyslexic. At school this was a hinderance, but really it was spotlighting his brilliance. A real challenge I believe as Christian educators on how we can equip each student to excel in the giftings God has uniquely placed within each of them. I believe we need the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, creativity, strength and innovation as to how that could look in Christian Education today.
