NZ Herald article – State of faith in our nation

Today this article was published in the NZ Herald about faith in our nation.  It claimed that faith was seemingly just for the poor.  How we need to pray for our nation!  Everyone needs Christ and Christians are not just those who are poor.  The love of money has been both a distraction and a god for many.  But Christ is wanting all to be saved and His ways lead us into greater fruitfulness, in all aspects of our lives.

Let’s keep praying for our nation and declaring God’s purposes over her.

2 Chronicles 7:14… if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

God promises to do something I believe from this land – N.Z  – the furtherest place from Jerusalem.   Scripture talks about the songs of praise that would come from down under and the victory!

Psalm 65:8– Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.
Psalm 72:8– May he reign from sea to sea, and from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.
Psalm 98:3– He has remembered his promise to love and be faithful to Israel. The ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.
Isaiah 24:16b- We hear songs of praise from the ends of the earth, songs that give glory to the Righteous One!
Isaiah 52:10– The Lord has demonstrated his holy power before the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth will see the victory of our God.
Jeremiah 25:31– His cry of judgment will reach the ends of the earth, for the Lord will bring his case against all the nations. He will judge all the people of the earth, slaughtering the wicked with the sword. I, the Lord, have spoken!’”
Acts 1:8 – But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Good our cry is for this nation to be saved… let your glory be seen across our land.
